Political parties and thier idelogies

Congress - A left of the center party, the harbinger of the economic liberalisation but with a human face -maintains thier centrist stance. The problem is the local level leaders in the states. They are outright corrupt and factionists.

TDP - Party without any ideology - For a caste, By a caste and OF THE CASTE.This is more of a business organisation which has access to a lot of money and TDP itself is an Investment. And this party controls the media. And has successfully shaped public opinion and cheated people for two decades.

PRP - A socialist party but not communist - believes in liberalisation and strives to achieve a Social welfare state - is focussing on the basic needs and infrastructure that is required by the common man and does not talk of emotive issues.

Please protect the farmers - PRP

The Praja Rajyam has demanded that the State government initiate prompt action to protect farming community which is facing problems despite a bumper rabi crop.
The PR alleged that while millers and the government agencies were refusing to purchase paddy by paying minimum support price to farmers, the government seemed to be in no hurry despite the mounting pressure on farmers. Even as the situation called for immediate and expeditious remedial action, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy went on a holiday with his family.
A delegation of senior PR leaders led by party’s general secretary Allu Arvind and Political Affairs Committee member P. Upendra called on Governor N.D. Tiwari and submitted a memorandum to him urging him to direct the State to take speedy action on the issue. The Governor, who interacted with the delegation, spoke to senior officials of the Food Corporation of India to get a first hand information about the situation.
Speaking to reporters later, Mr. Upendra expressed concern that millers were not procuring the farmers’ produce on the pretext of absence of storage space while six lakh tonnes of wheat of other States was lying in the godowns. In addition, the warehousing agencies allowed commercial crops like tobacco to be stored in the available space.
